The mission of North Broward Technical Center (NBTC) is to provide quality education to nursing candidates to help them develop a foundation for success as healthcare professionals who are caring, culturally sensitive, and competent critical thinkers. Learning-centered instruction is provided in an energetic, collaborative, and supportive environment with the assistance of committed faculty members who are dedicated to teaching, research, service, and lifelong learning.
Our qualified faculty who boast significant professional experience in their areas of expertise train students to demonstrate proficiency and competency, and position them to attain success when they take the required National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN & PN).
Career Outlook: The Future Looks Bright
South Florida boasts a very promising future for registered nurses. Not only does the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics note that jobs for RNs are expected to grow at a rate faster than jobs in any other industry.
While the LPN may not have as many jobs in hospitals, they will be in demand to take care of patients who have been discharged early. This would include patients sent to intermediary care facilities (between a hospital and a nursing home), extended care facilities, or their own homes.
The classroom work, simulated practice, as well as integrated clinical experience will provide students with the opportunity to build on acquired knowledge to practice and develop skills in nursing procedures.
